JEFFERSON DAVIS PROFILE

Davis was the only President of the Confederate States of America. Born in Kentucky, he attended the university at Lexington and entered the newly established U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Davis distinguished himself as a brave and daring horseman on the Wisconsin frontier during the Black Hawk War. He resigned his commission in 1835 to marry Sarah, the daughter of his commander, Colonel Zachary Taylor (later President). The two moved to Mississippi to become a Delta cotton planter. His chief companion was his Negro overseer James Pemberton – who had been his servant in the Wisconsin wilds. Davis was a Jeffersonian Democrat dedicated to the principle of state rights under the Constitution. His attitudes on slavery were learned from George Washington who believed the "peculiar institution" as slavery was then called, was a stepping stone to the Negroes’ "measurable perfectibility." Davis’s slaves held their own court and meted out justice. He educated the best of them who became men of consequence. He felt that in giving Christianity to the Africans and submitting them to Anglo-Saxon culture, white-Americans were preparing them for eventual citizenship. Davis believed that slavery was a temporary necessity in developing the cotton economy of the South on which New England’s textile economy depended, and that gradual emancipation would come as Negroes were prepared to meet the responsibilities of freedom. According to scores of letters from his Negroes, before, during, and after the Civil War, he was held in genuine affection as well as esteem by them.

Jefferson Davis was elected to Congress in 1845, but resigned to become a colonel in the Mexican War where he served brilliantly under his father-in-law, General Zachary Taylor. Davis saved the day against the Mexican leader Santa Anna, but was severely wounded and returned home on crutches. He was appointed to the U.S. Senate and was reelected in 1850. President Franklin Pierce appointed Davis Secretary of War. After the death of John C. Calhoun, Davis became the foremost respected Southerner. He struggled to save the Union. He was esteemed by Northerners for his "virtue and resolution." Davis rejoined the Senate during the turbulent Buchanan years (1857-61). Everywhere he went he supported the Union and won friends for the South. At the Democratic convention in Charleston in 1860, Benjamin Butler, head of the Massachusetts contingent voted for Davis on 57 straight ballots, although David refused to be the candidate and didn’t attend the convention. Butler (who became known as the "Beast of New Orleans") insisted that Jefferson Davis was the only man who could have defeated Lincoln and avoided a war. When South Carolina seceded from the Union in December 1860, Davis urged the other cotton states to stay with the Union and asked Buchanan to withdraw from Fort Sumpter in Charleston Harbor. Davis was one of the few southerners who believed the North would coerce the South by force of arms.

When Mississippi seceded 9 January 1861, Davis left the Senate praying for a peaceful separation. Returning home he was commissioned a Major General to prepare for his State’s defense, but was immediately elevated to President of the Confederate States. He send peace commissioners to Washington, but Lincoln refused them. Warned by his cabinet that reenforcing Fort Sumpter would bring Southern resistance, Lincoln nevertheless ordered the ships to sail. Davis gave General Pierre Beauregard discretional authority to fire on the fort. Lincoln called for 75,000 volunteers to "crush the rebellion." General Robert E. Lee declared Davis "was the best military advisor he ever consulted."

As the cause was lost, Davis was determined never to surrender, foreseeing the brutal Union Reconstruction under Republican Radicals. Lee surrendered at Appomattox without Davis’ sanction. Davis was captured and taken to Fort Monroe, Virginia and shackled in a casemate cell. After two years, he was released in May 1867 on a $100,000 bail vouched for by prominent Northerners, including publisher Horace Greeley and Rothschild representative August Belmont! Jefferson Davis was never tried, and was released under President Andrew Johnson’s general amnesty on Christmas 1868 (Johnson, President Lincoln’s vice, had, as a youth, been an indentured servant before his rise in Tennessee politics). Davis never regained his American citizenship. He died December 6, 1898 at 81, and was accorded the largest funeral the South has ever seen.

OUR CROWD chronicles and interesting story involving two New York Jews who played key roles in winning the war for the North. Lincoln needed money and uniforms. August Belmont put pressure on Rothschild for financing, while Joseph Seligman provided the clothing. Upon the surrender, Seligman took advantage of his presidential relationship and established an international banking house. He then invited both General Grant and General Beauregard to his house for dinner! Grant loaded up on Alsatian wine and sang songs. The two former enemies then shot snooker in the billiard room -- Grant lost. They strolled in the garden that night arm-in-arm while a satisfied peacemaker, Seligman, looked on. Twenty-years before the Civil War there weren’t five men in America worth $5-million; and less than 20 who had $1-million. Exploitation of the South soon had newspapers reporting several hundred New York City millionaires, with some worth over $20-million – including the Seligmans.

WHITE ANCESTRY Its alright to proclaim Black Pride, discuss Jewish suffering, promote homosexual tolerance, and abortion rights, but anyone speaking of White power is instantly labeled a fomenter of hatred. A nation of 281,000,000 people are being conditioned to ignore and be ashamed of White accomplishments. Don’t forget the golden age of Greece and the enlightenment of such philosophers as Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle; the father of history, Herodotus, and the father of medicine, Hippocrates, and leaders of science, e.g., Pythagoras. Military leaders such as Lord of Asia, Alexander the Great, conquered at will Persia, Egypt, and India. Their zeal for combat and sports is evident today in the Olympic Games. The vast Roman Empire lasted 500 years and covered the known world with roads, aqueducts, and sea routes for trade. They contributed great languages, art, and principles of law and religion. The Celts and Germanic tribes, Goths, Vandals, Franks, Gauls, Lombards, Saxons, Angles, and Nordic Dane and Norman Vikings expanded their lands and influence through expansion by physical conquest.

Following the Crusades, the Renaissance period brought architecture, culture, arts, music, and civilization to new heights. Johannes Guttenberg’s printing press gave rise to the Bible, Niccolo Machiavelli (The Prince), William Shakespear, and Miguel de Cervantes (Don Quixote) and Sir Thomas More (Utopia) while Leonardo da Vinci painted Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, and Michelangelo Buonarroti sculptured David and painted the Sistine Chapel. Christopher Columbus discovered America and White colonization placed European influence throughout the world to a point in Queen Victoria’s life where the sun never sat on Britannia. Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Richard Wagner composed classics. The Industrial Revolution began in Great Britain and spread throughout Europe and America. The Atomic and Electronic Age has advanced us to the threshold of our universe. God gave Adam dominion over the earth and all that is part of it. White generations have led the way toward mastery of almost very discipline known on the globe today. Who were the principal combatants on both World Wars? Doesn’t the USA, Europe and coalition-mixes of each dominate the world today?

Is there any question that America is the greatest nation on the planet? Was it conquered by European people who established Christianity as the dominant religion and reaped the Grace of Almighty God? Is English the most prominent language in the world? POINT: White-related people have within them the genetic seed of a warrior race more than any other ethnic group on the planet. Minority clusters worry when such people take faith in Almighty God and pride in their heritage. It is natural for groups who have been overshadowed by European influence to work toward weakening the confidence of those in power – and so it is that White America is under constant attack by special interest groups who want our civilization, but under their rules.

JEFFERSON DAVIS REVISITED Southern schools are changing their patriot names (JEB Stuart, Jeff Davis) under intimidation by bigoted minority groups who re-write history to fit their special agenda. Jefferson Davis was described as the better man by respected people who personally knew both Lincoln and Davis. Percy Greg said that Davis had "more moral and intellectual powers" than any 20 Federal statesmen, and a man vastly superior in every way to the "rail splitter." Yet, where is Jefferson Davis mentioned in today’s version of history?

Agitators seem to forget that it was Davis, not Lincoln, who believed that warfare should consist solely of combat between military forces, not the destruction of property and civilians as exemplified by Sheridan and Sherman’s scorched-earth march to the sea. Davis proclaimed after the war: "I am happy to remember that when our army invaded the enemy’s country, their property was safe."

Davis spoke these words before an assembly of Southern people in 1882: "Our cause was so just, so sacred, that had I known all that has come to pass, I would do it all over again!" "Nothing fills me with deeper sadness than to see a Southern man apologizing for the defense we made of our inheritance and denying the great truths on which our institutions were founded. To be crushed by terrible force, to be robbed and insulted, were great misfortunes, but these could be borne while there still remained manhood to assert the truth."

Before he died, President Jefferson Davis appealed to his people to preserve the deeds, emblems, Christian ethic and honor of heroic Southerners. President Jefferson Davis compared the Southern people with their Scottish forebears: "May it not come to pass that in some hour of need, future generations, aware of the grandeur and the virtues of these men, will in a moment of disaster cry out like the ancient Scot:

O FOR AN HOUR OF WALLACE WIGHT,

OR WELL-TRAINED BRUCE

TO LEAD THE FIGHT,

AND CRY ST. ANDREW AND OUR RIGHT."

If you still don’t like President Davis, what about Israel’s Chief Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau? Speaking on 25 January, he said: A nation that does not revere its past, its heritage and roots, has no right to weave dreams and plans for its future." Where is our Spirit of Combat? Where is our pride of Heritage? What would Jefferson Davis and our American founders think of us today as they strike the CROSS from our capitals, flags, and soon the hearts and minds of our young?

AMERICA, LIKE GREECE AND ROME, YOU HAVE BECOME SOFT IN MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT!

INSIDE THE BUSH

For some reason our Father in Heaven apparently loves us (the U.S.) enough to offer another opportunity to heal our land (Chronicle 7:14). The Presidential election was so close there is little doubt He thought twice before finding favor with our nation. Had Lieberman and Gore been installed last January 20th, I would say we were in for major tribulation. Open embrace of sodomy, promotion of Satanic sacrifice through abortion, aggressive disarmament, and a head long rush toward world socialism would have left little choice for true American Patriots. I have often said that the only thing worse than bad government was no government – predicated on the government remaining within the framework of a Constitutional Republic. Preservation of individual freedom through resistance to tyranny is preferred to living as sheeple and slaves.

As it is, God has give us a reprieve. In my opinion we have four (maybe eight, if we apply ourselves) years to restore America under God, or get what we deserve – probably Al and Hillary. Thus far "Dubya" (W) Bush has made some decent choices for primary Cabinet positions, with the head-liner being John Ashcroft replacing Janet Reno as top-cop and Ted Olson taking over as Solicitor General from Clinton’s Seth Waxman. Is it coincidence that the most powerful men in government are called BUSH, DICK, and COLON?

COLIN POWELL Despite appearances, impressive titles and knighthood by the British Crown, Colin Powell (63) is little more than a T-ball player in a fast-pitch game. Remember what happed to the last spring-butt-dog-robber, Al Haig? As Kissinger’s "Deep-throat," Haig went from Colonel to four-stars faster than cameras could photograph his promotions (I was Pentagon chief of special activities on the Army General Staff at the time). Over all other contemporaries, Haig was appointed Vice-Chief of Staff, and then Secretary of State by Reagan – obviously without knowing he wasn’t "Number Three." Colin Powell isn’t much better. As Washington’s "inside-insider" Secretary of State, Powell will probably perform as an Uncle Tom "NUF."

Powell is likened by the spin-doctors to Eisenhower in greatness as a military leader and potential president (poles said he could have beaten Dole for the 1996 Republican nomination), but what would have happened if Ike would have allowed Hitler to stay in power after the Nazis were driven back within the borders of Germany? What happened in Somalia where American’s military was killed and dragged through the streets of Mogadishu before withdrawing in dishonor, because Powell would supply them with proper combat power?

As an Army officer, Powell’s raters considered him the consummate "team-player." His blind loyalty was well demonstrated as an Americal Division assistant chief of staff for operations when a young soldier wrote a letter to General Creighton Abrams complaining that it was routine in the Americal to murder innocent civilians, and cited the MyLai incident in 1968, wherein more than 300 innocent infants, small children, women and old men were machine-gunned in a ditch. Powell did his best to whitewash the accusation, but it burst upon the military’s honor like a rotten egg. Returning from Vietnam, Powell attended GW University and was awarded a White House fellowship where he worked for Frank Carlucci and Casper Weinberger. In 1977, under Jimmy Carter, Powell became an aide to Sec-Def Harold Brown (while Richard Armitage served as an Assistant Secretary to account for our MIAs and POWs, and I worked as Congressional Relations chief in the same International Security Agency office). Powell was then transferred to the Energy Department in 1979 (my POW reports were diverted there as a cover while Carter and Vance refused to recognize the existence of living Prisoners of War). Powell went back to the Pentagon as an Aide to his former White House bosses, Secretary of Defense Carlucci and then Weinberger, along with Armitage – his best friend.

It was Powell who smoothed the wrinkles out when the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut was destroyed. Powell was part of the illegal shipments of missiles to Iran in 1986. When National Security Advisor Bud MacFarlane, in his disgrace, attempted suicide, Carlucci was his replacement and Powell was the deputy. In November 1986, Tom Harvey, military assistant to VP George Bush instructed me to infiltrate Heroin overlord Khun Sa’s Tiger Camp in the Golden Triangle of Burma to confirm the presence of U.S. POWs. At 3:40 pm, 21 March 1987, Powell received a call from Harvey concerning an on-going effort to rescue U.S. POWs. Powell stated: "We still believe it is not wise... after 14-years they (Vietnamese) have denied live Americans....if they were to produce live people, can you imagine what will be asked for?" Our abandoned heroes were quietly disposed of in shallow graves! In late 1987, "team-player" Powell was appointed the National Security Advisor by Ronald Reagan. President George Bush selected Powell to be Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs. Admiral Eugene Carroll said it best: "Looking at General Powell’s career record, it is clear that he was picked out early for a more important role in life than getting his boots dirty."

Powell proved his political value in 1992 when Senator Jesse Helms declassified and released a comprehensive CIA report on our POWs which greatly embarrassed the Communist. Desperate to save their face, Powell used the Pentagon to mastermind a way out for our enemies. A secret memo was sent to Hanoi on 7 October 1992 advising them to "Begin with a public announcement by your government, noting that for the last several months, Vietnamese officials have embarked on countrywide unilateral efforts to recover archives, records, photographs, and remains of unaccounted for Americans." Several weeks later the words were parroted back by the Communists, while President Bush thrilled at a "significant and real breakthrough," and bragged about Vietnam’s "unprecedented cooperation."

Today, Powell sits at his "Foggy Bottom" State Department Building talking daily with friend Armitage about his chances to become the first black president in 2008, even as he is now the first black Secretary of State, and was the first black JCS Chairman. As an Uncle Tom, whose time has come, Powell won’t be at the helm of America’s foreign policy. Second-timer, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld will likely keep our military over committed in UN and coalition overseas "peacekeeping." Colin Powell, Bush’s first appointment, was unanimously approved by the U.S. Senate without even token opposition.

DONALD RUMSFELD will compete with Powell for dominance in making overseas policy. This is Rumsfeld’s second time as Secretary of Defense. He was initially slated by Bush to be DCI (head of the CIA), but inter-party bickering over the powerful Sec Def position led Bush to insert Rumsfeld and keep Clinton’s George Tenent at Langley. Powell is an isolationist compared to Rumsfeld’s globalism. Rumsfeld is a consummate statesman with strong ties to United Europe. VP Dick Cheney isn’t a fan of Powell’s – meaning Bush will make the close calls personally. Sparks will also fly at the Deputy Secretary level at State and Defense. Powell’s Edward Djerejian (former ambassador to both Israel and Syria) is considered to be pro-Arab, while Rumsfeld’s Paul Wolfowitz (was an under-secretary in Chaney’s Pentagon) is strongly for Israel.

MCVEIGH TELLS ALL

Jack (Rubinstein) Ruby forever closed the mouth of Lee Harvey Oswald, a person capable of exposing the truth about the killing of JFK. Now the life of Timothy J. (Lee Harvey) McVeigh is to be silenced on 16 May. This past December 11, McVeigh requested from Judge Masche that the routine appeal processes be halted and a near date established for his execution. Masche gave McVeight a cooling off period (Jan 11th) to change his mind, but McVeigh stood by his decision. Federal regulations requires an execution within 120 days following suspension or expiration of appeals. I wrote McVeigh a letter on 12 January (extracts included here) exhorting him to tell-all that he knows about the OKC-bombing that hasn’t already been made public. McVeigh answered my letter on 26 January.

"SGT McVeigh,

My name is Bo Gritz – and as a young man, like yourself, all I ever wanted was to wear the uniform of the United States as a Special Forces soldier. God granted my wish and I was blessed to come up through the ranks to command special operations in combat. As an operative I served in every quadrant of the globe in all manner of clandestine assignments.

I commanded Special Forces in Latin America during the period George Bush was DCI-CIA. SOG ground-air-navigation teams allowed CIA aircraft loaded with cocaine to fly beneath our Southern Command radar mask from Bogota to Albrook Army Airfield in Panama. Noriega laundered the money through controlled banks. Bush had Noriega on the CIA payroll.

From Panama I was posted to the Pentagon (OSD-ISA) where Aaron and GEN Eugene Tighe (DIA) asked me to go in search of our POWs. Under auspices of DIA, CIA, and ISA, I sent recon teams into Laos to check suspected POW locations, and received a positive report on 30 Americans at a prison in south-east Laos. The sighting was confirmed A-1 intel by satellite just as Ronald Reagan was elected. Delta Force was alerted for a rescue. I sent Reagan a TS-SI message on March 31st through Richard Allen (NSC Advisor) – same day he was shot. Haig was violently opposed to any rescue and I was told by Admiral Tuttle (DIA) to stand down. Later ISA chief Jerry King told me the effort to rescue U.S. POWs was to be "put back on the shelf as if it never existed because too many bureaucrats in D.C. don’t want to see U.S. POWs come home alive." I was called to the White House by Admiral Bobby Inman (DDCI). He asked me to cease the POW effort. King, Inman, and Tuttle all advised me to come back on active duty as the deputy CO of ISA, to handle operations in Central America. I refused.

On Halloween 1986, I was training Afghan Mujahadeen, for the Under Sec State for Security Assistance. Tom Harvey, an Ollie North look-alike working on the NSC for George Bush, called and asked me to come to D.C. He wanted me to confirm reports that Gen Khun Sa (Heroin overlord of Burma’s Golden Triangle) had U.S. POWs. Pres Reagan was prepared to recognize the Shan State if so, and they could be brought home. I was able to get into Khun Sa’s Tiger Camp. He had no knowledge of American POWs. He asked me to deliver a message to President Reagan. He was willing to stop all heroin in exchange for a legitimate trade agreement with the U.S. for jade, rubies, hardwood, gold, etc. Khun Sa anticipated problems for a reason I found hard to accept. He said his best customers were high U.S. Executive Branch officials. He went on to name some of them. I recorded the testimony and delivered three videos to Harvey.

I was told to "erase and forget everything you learned in the Golden Triangle, or you will hurt the government!" I was told if I cooperated, I would be granted government contracts in D.C. If I refused, I would be prosecuted and serve 15-years in federal prison. I refused to cover-up what appeared to be illegal drug trafficking by high level officials. I was indicted in Las Vegas for using false passports. U.S. Attorney William Maddox personally prosecuted me. Upon acquittal in 1989, he told the media: "George Bush called me up and told me to get Bo Gritz." I recorded CBS news on Channel 8 that night and mailed it to AG Thornburgh and President Bush with a note: "If you did this, you did wrong; otherwise your U.S. Attorney is lying about you." Maddox was fired.

Tim, you and I both took an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. We fought overseas to keep tyranny there away from the USA. Since getting out of uniform in 1979, I have involved myself 22 times when elements of our government threatened the rights of Americans. I will continue to do all I can to help keep our Constitution alive. The purpose of this letter is to implore you to reveal all you know or suspect about the OKC bombing. God gives us agency to choose and the opportunity to make our existence meaningful. I didn’t give up on our POWs – I’m glad. I didn’t compromise and cover-up what I believe to be wrongs by men in high level positions of special trust and confidence – I’m glad. I arrested the FBI and Governor of Idaho at Ruby Ridge and brought what was left of the Weaver Family down the hill alive – I’m glad. The truth sets us free. Our people suffer from lack of knowledge.

Tim, I know well the model of covert direct action missions. A diversion draws attention away from the truly guilty. You know the truth about OKC. If there were elements beyond your own participation, you have every obligation to expose them while you can. Your true duty is to the American people. As we both know intelligence operations are highly compartmentalized, designed so operatives are restricted to only their own role. I am aware of only a few people who would with premeditation detonate an explosive device at a time when innocent people would surely be hurt. In the late 1970's and early ‘80's, CIA arms merchants contracted special forces personnel to train Libyan terrorist as part of a military sales package. Ed Wilson is serving 40-years in prison for his part. My former Pentagon boss, Eric von Marbod, and his partner, USAF Gen. Richard Secord, resigned in disgrace. I used to chide the idiots involved in the training, that one-day we would take out Muammar al-Qaddafi and anyone dumb enough to be with him, would have to go.

Tim, in our heart-of-hearts we all know right from wrong. Please don’t be deluded into wasting your life honoring miscreants masked as officials, operatives, and shadow heroes. Use whatever means you must to inform America of the truth concerning OKC.

I think you were the diversion-part of a contract team to make it look like a malcontent militia group attempted to detonate a bomb outside the federal building when children and other innocent citizens were in abundance. I figure you were shocked when the Ryder actually exploded – AND everyone involved was surprised when the building front collapsed. As an SF demo-man, I am well acquainted with the slow moving (16,000-fps) window-breaking, steal-twisting nature of Ammonium Nitrate. Who would figure on the BATF rat-holing a half-ton of 24,000-fps steal cutting C-4 in the basement?

You know the truth. I refuse to accept that you are evil enough to knowingly plot and carry out America’s worst terrorist attack. I will continue to do my part. I pray you will choose the right. We are all counting on you!"

McVeigh wrote back: "Bo,

Re: Telling my story, news reporters Lou Michal and Dan Herbeck have written a book, "AMERICAN TERRORIST" which is a tell-all, to be released on 03 Apr."

Concerning his request for execution, he said: "On death row, an inmate lives death every day." Concerned about his body being autopsied, McVeigh said: "I will file a motion opposing the planned mutilation of my corpse. I was sentenced to death, not to death and disembowelment."

I find Tim McVeigh’s mix of printed-cursive handwriting interesting. I wish I had exemplars from when he was in the Gulf War; after he failed to qualify for Special Forces; and at the time of the OKC Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Understanding that handwriting changes with personality, exemplars throughout these periods would provide a road map of deterioration from hero to terrorist. It is obvious that Tim was appreciative of my letter, but as of 26 January, he is an introvert with extremely low self-esteem, and no indicated hope for the future. He demonstrates little concern for his fate. He is highly excited about his story coming out on 3 April – even though he is deeply ashamed of the title. Tim is very much within himself with no friends and no need for public approval. Remarkably, there is no indication of a criminal-mind, hatred, nor prejudice. His current focus is more spiritual than self-oriented, with no physical-emotional needs.

I have asked that anyone feeling inspired should write to McVeigh and urge him to come clean before it is too late. The return address on his envelope is: Timothy J. McVeigh, 12076-064, P.O. Box 33, Terre Haute, Indiana 47808. If he responds, don’t be surprised to find the envelope open. It must be a regulation that all inmate mail be unsealed – as was the letter sent to me. Militia-watchers worry McVeigh is fulfilling the role of a William Pierse Turner Diaries "hero-martyr" that will start a Second American Revolution upon his execution. 250 people have applied to watch Tim McVeigh die. I want to see him live to tell the whole truth..

DAYS OF RAGE

Genesis 16:10 records an Angel of the Lord addressing Hagar, Sarai’s maid: "I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude. Behold, thou art with child, and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Ishmael because the Lord hath heard thy affliction. And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren." And so it was with the Philistines and Israel, and so it is with the Palestinians and the Jews – there may be Nobel Prizes, but there will be no peace in these latter days.

The Turkish-Islamic Ottoman Empire controlled the Holy Lands until defeated as a result of World War I. As Germany advanced against the Allied forces from 1914-1917, the British sought to involve America as the only means of preventing defeat. The main obstacle was in the high percentage of German-Americans (German almost became our official language). American Jews were already heavily committed to the Bolshevik Revolution. With the German declaration of war (1914) against Czarist-Russia, U.S. Jews were completely supportive of the German cause. The Germans had basically won the war by 1916 and sent an offer of honorable peace to the Allies. England then made an offer of a Jewish State to U.S. Jews if America entered the War against Germany. U.S. Jews exercised control of the American media and banking to reverse our image of Germany. The U.S. entered the war in 1917 and Germany was defeated. The British took control over Holy Lands, but reneged on the agreed Jewish homeland.

Following World War II, the Arab League was formed to prevent a Jewish take over of Palestine. Jews used terrorism to eventually force GB to withdraw from Israel. GB recommended that Palestine be divided between the Arabs and Jews. The proposal was rejected by both sides. GB then referred the issue to the UN and withdrew. The Jewish State was created in 1948 – followed by three major armed conflicts in 1956, 1967, and 1973.

Peace efforts throughout the Clinton Administration resulted in Nobel Prizes for Israeli and PLO authorities, but no real peace. In October 2000, Ariel Sharon visited the Wailing Wall precipitating violence that resulted in almost 400 deaths in four months. Sharon is hated by the Arabs for his own My Lai massacres in 1981 at Sabra and Shatila.

After only a year-and-a-half in office, on December 10, 2000, Israel’s PM, Ehud Barak resigned creating the need for a special election within 60 days. Barak was being criticized by the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) and Israeli people for his liberal approach to renewed peace talks with the PLO. His resignation was a strategic move designed to strengthen his position through re-election. Only members of the Knesset may be a candidate for PM in a special election. Barak thought the only one who could defeat him was Benjamin Netanyahu who had resigned as Prime Minister in 1999 over peace failures – and Netanyahu (from New York) wasn’t eligible to run. Barak made a major tactical error. Sharon leaped into the race branding Barak a liberal extremist who would give Israel away to the Arabs. Barak on the otherhand accurately proclaimed that it was either him or war! On Tuesday, 6 February, the Jewish people made their choice – WAR with Sharon. The PLO vowed it would begin a campaign of RAGE stating: "We will burn the soil under the feet of Sharon!" Barak will remain in power for a 45-day transition period.

Anticipating major violence through Arab paramilitary action, America landed the 69 Air Defense Artillery Brigade with Patriot missiles at Haifa, Israel’s norther-most port, on election day to dissuade strikes coming from Syria and Lebanon. The U.S. V Corps (in Europe) containing the 1st Armor Division, 1st Infantry Division, and assorted support units are on alert for movement to Israel. On the other side, Saddam Hussein, calling for the annihilation of Israel, is begging Syria to allow his 7-million-man volunteer army access to Israel via the Golan Heights. Could the election of "the-beast" Sharon accelerate the coming of Armageddon? God knows and time will certainly tell.

SPIKE EOD-UW

After due consideration, I agree with Judy and those of you who believe SPIKE training is not compatible with Holy Feast Days. I had initially thought to conduct our field Spike during the latter days of the Feast of Passover and Unleavened Bread. My thought was, with the help of Pastor Scott Stinson, to allow attendees unfamiliar with God’s true Holy Days to experience the significance of the Celebration. Even monkeys occasionally fall out of trees. It was a mistake and I have altered the Spike days to allow proper individual attendance at both events. The new SPIKE dates are Sunday, 22 April thru Wednesday, 25 April 2001.

The main body of instruction will focus on safety in Engineering with Demolitions, Unconventional Warfare considerations, Survival, and Medical Emergencies, Day & Night Field Operations. Some of you have expressed an interest in underwater operations. The following qualification courses are available prior to the scheduled Spike training: Open Water SCUBA, Advanced Scuba, Rescue, Basic Wreck, Extended Range (also extreme depth for already deep divers), various levels of Nitrox, Night, Navigation, Dry Suit, and Full Face Mask with Communications. Melody Gritz will teach all underwater phases using the Lake Mead facility. Qualified divers may join a technical search team for a USAF research B-29 lost in the lake just after World War II. All persons interested in breathing underwater previous to Spike (22 April) contact Melody directly at 702-293-6648. Call as early as possible so Melody can schedule your needs. You may bring your own dive equipment, but all items needed are available through the dive shop.

Questions have come up concerning suitability, sleeping, eating, family costs and transportation. As you know, only a few Spikes have excluded children (Airborne-16, Scuba-14 (except for the Robinson boys), Delta-12 (some exceptions), Counter-Terrorist Driving-12, (except for two 9-year old girls) During Spike Scuba, we accommodated even the physically disabled. Phase-3 Gun Control allowed all responsible persons to shoot. Phase-6 Mountaineering found 80-year old seniors beside five-year old youngsters.

The purpose of Spike EOD-UW is to educate all who attend on the characteristics of explosives. The instruction is technical in nature and not suitable for the average child. The UW training, while conceptual in nature, will include field exercises customized to each participants capabilities and limitations. Survival is certainly for everyone. Like the Robinsons, and Toby – you know your young ones. All are invited, but your discretion is urged in the best interest of our little people. Special Forces Sergeants Major Burt Moore will teach emergency medicine; I will lead you through UW and parts of EOD. Robert Winthro will share his extensive Native American survival skills. Two special guest instructors are invited to instruct you in the specifics of commercial use of explosives and safety in such engineering. The course is designed to aid you in obtaining a commercial blaster’s license.

Spikers can either choose to ruff-it in the desert Ranger camp, or seek creature comforts within nearby casino-hotels. The hotels are inexpensive (about $20 per night) yet very well appointed, including swimming pools, Jacuzzi-suites, and the chance to become an instant multi-millionaire; also one of the best steak houses in Las Vegas, a formal Chinese restaurant, two 24-hour full service restaurants, two buffets, and two fast food services. Those staying in the hotels must be present for training at the Gritzhaus each morning at 0700-hours (20-miles). Spikers staying in the field will be given basic food groups (side of beef, veggies, bread, water, fruit, snacks, paper goods) to supplement whatever nourishment you may have brought to suit your own tastes. Port-a-pots will be available as will limited water for personal hygiene. You may bring a small tent, choose to sleep under the stars (never any rain), or under one of the Spike GI-medium tents. Field clothes, jacket for night, cap and sunglasses for day, backpack, canteen, compass, and comfortable high-top footware (low cuts may collect sand) is appropriate. Everything you bring, you must be able to carry.

The cost for training is $300, half-price for a direct family member, and $500 per family (three or more). MORAL-RESERVE NOTE – WITH CHANGE

Some enterprising patriot is offering a new $200-note that brought at least one user change in the form of $197 in FRNS – AND the police say it’s legal -- if not tender! The new $200-money, clearly marked "moral tender to preserve the U.S. Constitution," was offered by a woman at the Jane Trail Dairy Queen drive-thru in exchange for $2.12 worth of food. The clerk promptly handed over $197, plus change. The "Moral Reserve Note looked like tradition currency with a few exceptions: 1) the picture is of President George W. Bush; 2) The Treasury seal is marked with "The right to bear arms;" 3) On the back, the traditional White House scene is augmented with a pumping oil derrick on the lawn. Foreground yard signs read, "We like broccoli" and "Rooms not for rent." The bill is not considered counterfeit since it is so clearly a fake. Thank God for public schooling – good luck patriot home-schoolers!

YING v. YANG

IT’S GOOD TO BE A WOMAN: You’re off a sinking ship fist! You can scare male bosses with gynecological excuses for mistakes. You don’t look like a frog in a blender when dancing(Now you know why I avoid dancing). You don’t pass gas to amuse yourself. You can congratulate a teammate without touching her rear. You don’t have to reach down every so often to make sure "it’s" still there. Women can dress themselves, and talk to a member of the opposite sex without having to picture them naked. If they marry someone 20 years younger, they are aware that they look like an idiot! They don’t regret piercing their ears, and can fully assess someone just by looking at their shoes. And not least of all, women can make comments about how silly men are in their presence, because they aren’t listening anyway.

IT’S BETTER TO BE A MAN: Your name stays the same; wedding dress $5,000 – tux rental $100; wedding plans take care of themselves. Car mechanics tell you the truth, and you never have to drive to another gas station because this one’s just too icky! Wrinkles and grey hair add character; people don’t stare at your chest when you’re talking to them; one mood all the time, and phone conversations in 30-seconds flat! A five day vacation requires one suitcase. Your pals don’t trap you with: "So, notice anything different?" You can open all your own jars – even kill your own food. AND you get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness! So what’s your choice?

FOLK LORE ORIGIN: U.S. Military personnel are well familiar with the term: "It’s cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey!" – I’ve said the same words many times, but what is the true origin and meaning? Early tall sailing ship needed cannons for protection. Cannonballs had to be close to the guns. A dimpled "brass monkey" was fashioned to allow the balls to be securely stacked without rolling around on a listing deck. Brass was used because, exposed to considerable salt spray, it would not rust to the balls. Individual indentations in the brass plate allowed the bottom level of cannon balls a secure base for a pyramidal stack of 30 balls. Cold weather could cause a problem when the brass contracted more rapidly than the iron – freezing the balls off the brass monkey!

SOMETHING TO PONDER WILL A CLONE HAVE A SOUL? In the last Newsletter, I reported on "Designer Children" through cloning. Last month Doctor Severino Antinori, Italian fertility expert lecturing in Lexington, Kentucky, announced that he will clone a human being within the next year. He is currently preparing 10-couples (one America) for the procedure. "Whether we like it or not, we will have cloned individuals in the very near future," said Dr. Panos Zavos, who also was part of the Samaritan Hospital lecture. Antinori, 55, has successfully helped post-menopausal women over 60 become pregnant. A cult group has 30 women lined up in Las Vegas as clone carriers, while a religious coalition hope to find enough DNA on relics to produce a man-made messiah. The question beyond science is: Will a clone be equipped with a soul, or will the result be a Frankenstein? Will God appreciate the man-made walls of skin and breathe His Spirit into them, or will they turn out to be a collection of monsters? The potter’s hand slipped many times before Dolly, the sheep, was cloned. How will the demigods dispose of their human "mistakes?"

GOOD NEWS

Congratulations Nikki Southern McHattie! Nikki is the Beanie Baby Angel who counsels and comforts terminally ill children. According to attending physicians in the 1970's, Nikki was never supposed to live through the first night due to a major hole in her heart, but she did. One day at a time the little double for Disney’s Tinkerbell in Peter Pan, struggled for life. Insufficient blood flow meant under-developed lungs and other vital organs. Days led to weeks, months, years – on oxygen in wheelchairs – multiple open-heart surgeries and related operations. While other young women attended parties and dated boys, Nikki visited hospitals and tolerated therapists. As others married, raised families, and worked at careers, Nikki suffered loneliness and learned how to use a personal computer. She reached out to little ones, who God misses so much He allows them to remain on earth only a short time before calling them Home. Through her website, Nikki contacted terminally-ill shut-in children with messages of support and a beanie-baby.

I flew to Farmington, New Mexico and presented Nikki with my Legion of Merit for her outreach ministry. We became friends and Nikki confided that while God had blessed her with life beyond all expectation, she desperately desired a romantic relationship before laying down her tortured body. It wasn’t long before Nikki met a young Albuquerque man during the many hospital appointments and tests. It didn’t seem to matter that she was all but wheelchair confined and tied to an oxygen tank. Marriage was out of the question. The bureaucracy allowed for six-figure medical expenses every year only if Nikki remained single. Should Nikki ever marry, her husband would have to pick up the whole tab. I even suggested a marriage outside of state records, but before the dream could become reality, her health fell apart and her beau faded away. I felt sorry for him. The poor fool failed to realize that with only an unknown period of time, Nikki would love him completely and perfectly as only a terminal person is capable of doing.

Nikki needed a heart transplant, but with under-developed lungs there was no room – a second Catch-22. Without sufficient circulation, a lung transplant was also out – Checkmate – not quite. With no place else to go, Nikki went to the Great Physician – and He healed her, as surely as if she had touched the hem of the Messiah. Next, she met a young Pennsylvania cyber-suitor – this one better than the rest – and this past September, Nikki Southern became Nikki McHattie – wish fulfilled! Nikki is by no means out of the woods. Despite her spike in health, specialists say she is still terminal, and in great need of your prayers.

GOD’S MESSAGE TO BUSH: The Secret Service, FBI and others on the Presidential security detail are trying to figure out how a known inauguration buster got by them when they were especially watching for him? AND he even told the Secret Service four-years ago that he was going to deliver a message to the President! Richard Weaver says he sees it as a miracle of invisibility. God empowers him so tha he could deliver a message from the King of kings and Lord of lords to the President. THE FACT IS: Video shows Weaver wearing a dark wool overcoat smiling his way through the Inaugural rings of security up to President George W. Bush and passing him a message while the two shook hands. The message on blue paper read: "Keep Christ first and He will grant you another miracle victory in four years." Let’s pray Dubya gets the message!

HARTZELL HINTS: Too many of my master’s human pals are dying off making him sad. I feel what he feels. I thought maybe some advice from man’s best friend would help you remain healthy – like me...WOOF! Be loyal. Be yourself. Eat with gusto – stop when you’ve had enough. Delight in long walks – talk to God – then listen. When chastised, don’t buy into the guilt thing – run right back and make friends! Let others know when they invade your territory. Avoid biting when a simple g-g-growl will due. When happy, dance around and wag your whole body. Thrive on attention and let loved ones touch you. Run, romp and play daily. Take naps and stretch before rising. When it’s in your best interest, practice obedience. Never pass up an opportunity to go for a joy-ride. ABOVE ALL: If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it!...woof

Take this little test to measure how well you’re doing: If you can get going without pills or caffeine in the morning...woof. If you can be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains... If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles; understand when family and friends are too busy to give you attention; take criticism and blame; ignore a friend’s faults and never criticize him...woof. If you treat rich and poor acquaintances the same... If you can face the world without lies and deceit; conquer tension without medication; relax without liquor; sleep without drugs... Then high and mighty Homo Sapiens, you’re well on your way to being as good as your pet!...WOOF!

One more thing... We pets have one goal in our relatively short life: LOVE YOU! -- no matter what. There’s a related objective, but not essential to our success – "be loved." By helping mankind we help God. You can imagine how sad it is when so many of us haven’t found anyone to love. Without you there is no us. The same Almighty God who gave you life, made us. We feel the same joy and pain as you – as a matter of fact, in addition to our personal existence, we share your feelings. Sometimes we wish God would not have made you all that He did. Some of you think too much about nothing which gets you into trouble and shortens our time together. God gave us a great gift – most of us will die before you, but don’t think that’s all. If you will focus on what is really important in this life – the way we do – you will find us patiently...woof... really more like "anxiously" waiting for you at a place my master wrote about – called Rainbow Bridge – just on the other side of this life. If you doubt any of what I’ve offered in advise, just try this: REMEMBER, Wherever you are is HOME to us. We just want to be with you!

CORE OF THE BIBLE: Psalm 118 is the middle chapter of the entire Bible. Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible. Psalm 117 is the shortest chapter. The Bible has 594 chapters before Psalm 118 and 594 chapters following. If you add up the chapters, except Psalm 118, to total is 1188. 1188, or Psalm 118, verse 8 is the center core of the God’s Word to us. What does He say: "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man."

FREEDOM’S LAST CALL

Just when Howard Stern signs a five-year contract for $100-million, and it is announced that Rush Limbaugh is paid $1,000 per minute ($30-million per-year, I’m saying goodbye to radio! February 9th closed out seven-years of Freedom Call. I inherited the talk-show from a Dallas patriot, Tom Donahue, who billed it as "America’s Town Forum." Tom was charged in a Mexican-peso scheme that bilked listeners out of millions of dollars. While he didn’t profit personally, Tom refused to plea-bargain and was brought to federal trial. Officer Jack McLamb (Police Against the New World Order), Phoenix gold broker, Craig Smith, and I testified before Dallas Chief Judge Bearfoot Sanders, to no avail. Tom insisted on being his own attorney. Applying patriot remedies, he was found guilty and sentenced to 108-months in a Federal Camp at Pensacola, Florida. Craig put up $30,000 for his appeal, but Tom ran away from the camp fearing mandatory inoculations would contain harmful diseases. Tom remains a fugitive-at-large today. Before being tried, Tom asked me to stand in for him.

I worked the program for 5-years on Talk America Radio out of Boston with some 300 AM-FM stations nationwide. For some reason the Operations Officer, Tom Star, took offense that WWCR (shortwave) was pulling down the program. He threatened to sue them if they didn’t stop. It upset me that while Star wasn’t hurt, he was prepared to hurt others who offered my program to listeners who didn’t have affiliate commercial stations in their area. When I complained, Star replied that I would have to either choose the enormous coverage of Talk America, or go with the puny single frequency shortwave station. I’ve never liked intimidation, and have mostly sided with little-people all my adult life. In what may have been a major mistake, I signed off of Talk America and onto WWCR. On Talk America, I was constantly reminded not to say "God" and avoid "Christ" at all costs. It was alright to interview the curator of the Holocaust Museum, but not revisionist Ernst Zundal.

In August of 1999, I transferred to shortwave via Ted Anderson’s new Genesis Communication Network and WWCR. Ted assured me that I would not be censored. He made other promises that I relied on. He would expand the broadcast means making efforts to recapture the AM/FM stations lost. Ted did open an Internet site over which Freedom Call could be heard; he purchased channels on two satellites, with a promise of securing a spot on the commercial bird, C-5, used by major talk show hosts. While embroiled in seven months of jury selection and three months in trial, my spot expanded to three hours when Ted couldn’t fill the hour preceding Freedom Call. Sparky took the program when I was required in court. Throughout all this diversion my work on the books PATRIOTS and THE PROMISE waned as did the GCN radio signal.

Anderson dropped WWCR as being too expensive and instead contracted with David Franz (WGTG) for cut-rate short-wave and a single-side-band system for pennies on the dollar. When the bills weren’t paid, this was further reduced to just the SSB, which has the annoying quality of making your voice sound like a duck stuck in a tunnel. Anderson sold-back bits of Internet time to the webmaster and satellite use to hosts willing to pay for the time. As a result I seldom knew when or what I was on or off the air. It became increasingly difficult for listeners to stay up with the fluid GCN schedule.

On my part I still was up at 0400 every Monday thru Friday to research the news for the three-hour 0600-0900 Freedom Call. Trying to keep all the other balls of Center For Action, Spike, this Newsletter, spending months in Tucson working to arrest my Mom’s Alzheimer condition, et al, left me a mental crispy critter. Besides court, we traveled to Preparedness Expos, my friend RD’s gun-shows, and various patriot hot-spots, e.g., Indianapolis Baptist Temple, Robert Stewart’s Maadi-Griffin case in Phoenix. Maybe as a young 25-year old Green Beret, I could sustain the pace and progress on the books, but even with Judy’s help, as a man more than 60, there just wasn’t enough altitude or airspeed..

No doubt the radio program -- regardless of its form -- was extremely important as a means for making Americans aware of critical matters and a powerful tool for putting patriotism into action. Daily, liken to clandestine BBC broadcasts to resistance forces on the European Continent, orders went out asking listeners to "do more than talk about issues." We shut down the Capitol-switch in Washington, D.C., deposed a judge with 5,000 letters to the Judicial Review Board, gained the release of prisoners, filled courtrooms, staffed a major field out-reach effort for Eric Rudolph, identified and gained major discounts on preparedness and protection items, coordinated large patriot assemblies, and made a measurable difference in a struggle to keep the Constitution alive during the Clinton years. There was just one problem – a nagging feeling that I needed to do more – like finish the books!

Since returning from Vietnam in 1969 and dedicating my life to God as an Eternal Warrior, I have sought His Will in every endeavor. I remained in the military, although being ordained into the ministry. I served on the Army General Staff and gained a Master’s degree in Journalism to become familiar with the media; was a Pentagon Congressional Relations chief to experience the Legislative Branch. I left active duty to pursue our POWs and conducted missions in every quadrant of the globe as a special intelligence operative. I stood firm against federal, and later state prosecutions. I trained patriot families, established a Constitutional Covenant Community, and sought to retire – but God wasn’t through with me.

Sometimes to be of use to Him, you must be made to feel somewhat as He does. I had worked hard in accomplishing what I thought was right. It hurt physically, emotionally, and spiritually beyond words to be denied the fruits of my labor, betrayed by what I care for most. How else could I understand how our Heavenly Father feels when, after having sacrificed His Son for us, we turn our back on Him? Since 1969, my every thought, word, and deed has been an offering to God as a sacrifice of all He has allowed me to survive, experience, learn, and achieve. After my debilitating experience in September 1998, I desperately needed to know that He still loved me and I was still His warrior to use. I felt I was to finish the books, Patriots and The Promise. I needed to continue to offer His Word through this Newsletter, personal appearances, and radio, while reaching out with a means for His children to ready themselves for future challenges. I began anew, but as Clint Eastwood says: "A man has got to know his limitations."

I learned long ago not to reenforce a failure. Freedom Call is in not a retreat. I am withdrawing only to strengthen my attack in a different direction. To this cause I rededicate my efforts – praying that God will use me to write the words in ways that will help return His lost love.

FINDING WHAT YOU CAN BE

This month I received an e-mail from Mickey, an accomplished young man deeply involved in the martial arts. He had previously send a video showing karate masters knocking-out participants with only a slight touch. Mickey, a 7th Dan-Blackbelt, hoped to expand his power to render targets unconscious by mind-energy alone. He had heard from a mutual older friend that I had been part of mind-control exercises involving bending spoons by thought, and wanted my help. I answered that the Soviets were the ones who spent as much time trying to bend metal objects, as Allen Dulles did striving to fashion a "Manchurian candidate" from a human being.

No doubt, before the body can act, the mind must command. My Grandma was an expert. She used to say: "Don’t say it! I know exactly what you’re thinking" – and she did to! Grandma said she wouldn’t take a million-dollars for me – my feet didn’t touch the ground, I could do anything. A commandant of cadets showed confidence in me when he announced I had been selected to lead the corps. I became a Ranger, and won the Green Beret. Colonel Frank Kelly pressed me to go far beyond what I thought possible until we made the impossible look routine. These mentors could see beyond what I was to all I could be. It could have been different. Instead of being encouraged, authority figures could have belittled me into hiding myself from the world.

One of the most remarkable young men I’ve ever known lives across the street. Cory was a boy who rode his horse to school rather than take the bus. At 14, he is 6-foot-two with a size-13 shoe. Cory is a quiet, polite neighbor who refuses pay for doing chores without being asked. I noticed that every Sunday, he and his mom go to church. Cory is a lad who makes oldsters (including me) smile just being around him. The only problem with Cory is a lack of adult-male care. Cory and his dad have never been close; he has been a Scout for three-years and is only a Second Class. Worst of all, his parents are going through a divorce. Cory’s school grades were falling. His mom asked if I would talk to him. After some thought I wrote him the following letter: Appointment Board

The height of George Washington, Cory is a true gentleman with deep moral values combined with intellect and limitless capacity for leadership. Cory is a willing team-player, but becomes a majority of one when challenged to compromise right over wrong.

As a special operations combat commander with key tours in the Pentagon and Capitol Hill, I have served with the world’s superfine. It was my job to identify warriors capable of miracles on demand. Considering all the talent I have observed, Cory Matt has more potential than all the rest. I am certain his contributions will win a significant place in national remembrance.

I have maintained close observation of Cory for 12-years. Even as a lad he stood apart, not through boisterous conduct or physical intimidation, but by a mature nature far beyond his years. No question, Cory has a close working relationship with God.

Cory is a self-starter who set his sights early on admirable goals and has stayed the course. At 14, he was the man in his family. With austere support, Cory became the first Eagle Scout in his troop. Looking beyond the stars, he worked to pay for flying lessons and soloed on his 16th birthday. He not only kept up his grades with the intent of attending the Academy, but went to summer school for extra credit and early graduation. Having an interest in languages and desire to serve God, his next objective was a two-year overseas church mission in Honduras. Cory is now ready to serve America.

I have recommended only two others for academy admission. While their accomplishments and preparation were less than those of Cory Matt, the young man and woman graduated from West Point and the Air Force Academy respectively, and today serve with distinction as officers. I know Cory Matt will make us (U.S.) proud. I submit him to you for further progression in his quest to fulfill all that God and government have in store for him. Only God knows and time will tell what will happen to Cory, but if he will flesh out the recommendation, I will be able to date it in about six-years and attend his graduation – as Judy and I did another young man’s (1st Lieutenant Greg Fend) with a prior, but similar letter.

As the months of persecution dragged on in Connecticut, Judy’s anti-stress insolation began wearing thin. If found guilty it would mean the rest of my life in prison. My family had made her feel less than welcomed. We had just driven the motorhome to Nevada as Fall fell and returned in the GMC with no where to stay and no end of jury selection (seven-months), trial (three-months) and rising legal costs ($225,000) in sight. It was day-three in the Red Roof Inn, eating at the same buffet. Judy was at the end of her wits trying to find a furnished apartment with no lease. I was enduring, but my mate needed a pick-me-up.

Waiting lunch at Abdol’s, I began listing her attributes. I was well into a second column when she arrived. Acting surprised, I explained that I was thinking about her and absentmindedly recording my thoughts. When she insisted on seeing what was written, I assured her that I was by no means finished. Still she tucked the list away. Later Sparky (her fire had returned) intimated that no one else had ever written about her that way. A simple no-cost thoughtful action had reinforced a most important part of my defense. How many people important to you might be encouraged by such an easy consideration?

Sometimes more is needed than can be provided on earth. Such circumstances are within the hands of a family patriarch. Recall Jacob blessed each of his 12 sons. As he sealed his blessings on earth, God sealed them in Heaven – and so it became. The church provides for persons without a headship. Every child and wife has a duty to follow their patriarch as he follows Christ. As you know most are without a righteous head – ergo most are unprotected and vulnerable. Need an example? When is the last time you have properly blessed or been blessed? Do you not know that God holds those in authority responsible for righteous spiritual administration over those under each headship? How many husbands and fathers even remotely consider their spiritual duties? What would happen if every patriarch sought Christ and invoked his authority and power to the well-being of loved ones? What would be the effect if fathers blessed children with a laying on of hands and words of the Holy Spirit before a fist date and prior to each school year? What would happen to illness if elders anointed their sick and gave them blessings of healing? Would marriages be strengthened or weakened if wives were blessed and prayed-over by their headship?

I encourage you to access and utilize the spiritual power that is available to all who are baptized unto Christ for the remission of sins? The last four covers of this Intelligence Report have been in full-color after more than nine-years of black-and-white. Many of you have commented favorably about the color improvement. Color involves a four step process, where as B&W is only one. How many lives would be greatly improved if they were to recognize and bring out the other dimensions of their being? Physical existence, by itself, is like black-on-white. The full color of life is not realized until our spiritual, intellectual, and emotional aspects are nourished in the same proportion with our physical appetite. Ponder this article and maybe you will "see" what we can look like when celestially transformed as opposed to what we are in just flesh and bones black or white.

My daughter Melody opened my eyes to this simple, but beautiful secret on Father’s Day 1982 when she presented me with the following poem:

The morning sits outside afraid

Until my father draws the shade,

Then it bursts in like a ball

Splashing sun all up the wall

And evening is not night

Until he’s tucked me in just right

And kissed me and turned off the light

Oh, if my father went away

Who would start the night and day?

Is there any question of her father’s importance in adding or taking away color in her life? One of my greatest quandaries is that I spent the rest of 1982 and the next 10-years in pursuit of our Prisoners of War. Appropriately their remembrance flag is black and white. While in the belief that I was doing God’s Will, I lament the black-hole of my absence from my own dear ones. Tormented and drawn between my love for Micheil and Melody, I walked miles of runway at Sandy Valley seeking, without satisfaction, a release from my quest. Was my duty to what I felt God would have me do, or was I crazed, and failed to see that my responsibility was at home? I pray I was right, but what of my family?

MAN WHO GOD WOULD NOT LET DIE

The great British statesman and four times Prime Minister, William E. Gladstone, once proposed the creation of a grouping of pedestals for statues of history's most famous men. One pedestal stood higher than all the rest – that of George Washington. At the Continental Congress, meeting in Philadelphia, December 1799, one of Washington's finest military commanders, cavalry General Henry "Light-Horse Harry" Lee, upon hearing of the death of our first president, rose to his feet and with tears in his eyes spoke for all Americans for all time when he said of Washington, "First in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen." Many students of history consider George Washington to be one of the greatest men who ever lived. Certainly, he was the greatest American - a brilliant, educated, successful man who risked everything for the freedom of our country.

Washington was a man of great moral character -- forthright, honest, charitable and a gentle man of quiet modesty and proper deportment. Besides a soldier-statesman, Washington was also a man of professional accomplishment – knowledgeable in agriculture, a recognized surveyor, and established land owner with considerable wealth. At the age of 21, he was appointed a Major and Adjutant of the Virginia Militia, and so distinguished himself that at the age of 23 was made Commander in Chief of the Frontier Forces of Virginia. Washington had a commanding appearance. The most physically impressive of all of our Presidents, he stood over 6 feet 4 inches tall and was a lean and powerful 225-pounds. Washington was described by colleagues and writers of the time as "...straight, tall, wide-shouldered, with head well shaped, large straight nose, penetrating blue-gray eyes, a long handsome face terminating in a good firm chin, clear fair skin, firm mouth, and a commanding countenance; with speech, movement and gestures which are agreeable, differential, engaging and graceful." Most important of all, Washington was a man with a total sense of responsibility, unquestioned integrity and deep devotion to God.

RESOLUTE LEADER

During the French Indian War, Colonel Washington was reputed by his enemies to be "the man who God would not let die." Once the War for Independence began, George Washington was quickly chosen Commander-in-Chief of the Colonial Forces. Washington had the impossible task of taking a few thousand untrained volunteers and leading them against the forces of the world's greatest empire at the time (England could accurately boast that the sun never set upon her flag or the British empire). To add to the difficulties was the fact that the American Colonies were not united, were economically weak, had no standing army and no navy, and had only three-million people, who were seriously divided as to whether or not to fight for freedom. Only about 3% of the people in the Colonies actually took part in the fight for American independence. Then, as now, apathy, self- interests, uncertainty and fear prevailed among most of the population.

Once the Declaration of Independence had been signed and Washington's forces were pitted against the British, his army was so greatly out numbered and so ill equipped that many thought him fool hardy to even attempt to fight the most powerful nation in the world. Seldom in all of history has such an improbable task been undertaken under such impossible conditions. However, Patrick Henry in his famous "Give me liberty or give me death" speech hit directly upon his reasons for hope when he said, "God will raise up friends to fight our battles for us."

WASHINGTON IN BATTLE

General Washington led his men with a passion, courage and fortitude that could come only from fearlessness and total dedication. When the Continental Congress did not, or could not, send the funds for his soldiers' supplies and salaries, Washington paid for them out of his own pocket. He gained and held the allegiance of his men because he was fair, firm, resolute and dedicated. Moreover, he was a devoutly Christian man who made no apology for prayer. He repeatedly called upon God for deliverance and victory in the struggle for freedom.

THE MAN OF GOD

The paintings of George Washington kneeling in prayer in the snow-covered woods of Valley Forge are based on fact. He believed that God would lead him to victory, and anyone who has read his hand written letters and documents cannot help but be impressed by his reliance on the Almighty and his deep belief in Divine Guidance. Strengthened by a sense of duty and honor, driven by a love of freedom and a hunger for justice, sustained by faith and confidence in divine providence – George Washington would not fail. He would fulfill his destiny. This uncommon man would lead the colonial forces to victory, become the father of our country, be unanimously acclaimed our first President, and set the course for what was to become history's greatest nation. Little wonder then that he was shown great favor by the God of our universe. As the prophets of old were shown the destiny of mankind, so was Washington shown the destiny of our nation.

General Washington reportedly had an unusual and profound spiritual experience at Valley Forge. Washington told of the event shortly after it took place. It was repeated to his close confidantes and fellow patriots during the 22 years he lived after its occurrence. Since spiritual experiences tend to be ignored by secular historians, Washington’s vision has remained a public obscurity. Throughout history, as is well documented in Holy Scripture and readily attested to by millions of observant people, God has raised up individuals, usually temporal leaders, to fulfill the destiny of men and nations.

THE VISION

Various accounts of George Washington's vision and prophecy all agree in content. There have been only minor variations in some details as the story was repeated over the years by those to whom it was related by General Washington. The place was Valley Forge, in the bitter winter of 1777. Washington's army suffered several reverses and the situation was desperate. Food was scarce. The Continental Congress was not sending supplies or money. Some of the troops did not even have shoes to wear in the snow. Many soldiers were sick from disease and exposure. Morale was at an all-time low and there was great agitation in the Colonies against continued effort to secure our freedom from England. Nevertheless, General Washington was determined to see the struggle through.

The narrative recorded are the words of a first-hand observer, Anthony Sherman, who was there and describes the situation: "You doubtless heard the story of Washington's going to the thicket to pray in secret for aid and comfort from God, the interposition of whose Divine Providence brought us safely through the darkest days of tribulation. One day, I remember it well, when the chilly winds whistled through the leafless trees, though the sky was cloudless and the sun shown brightly, he remained in his quarters nearly all the afternoon alone. When he came out, I noticed that his face was a shade paler than usual. There seemed to be something on his mind of more than ordinary importance. Returning just after dusk, he dispatched an orderly to the quarters who was presently in attendance. After a preliminary conversation of about an hour, Washington, gazing upon his companion with that strange look of dignity which he alone commanded, related the event that occurred that day."

WASHINGTON'S WORDS

This afternoon, as I was sitting at this table engaged in preparing a dispatch, something seemed to disturb me. Looking up, I beheld standing opposite me a singularly beautiful female. So astonished was I, for I had given strict orders not to be disturbed, that it was some moments before I found language to inquire the cause of her presence. A second, a third and even a fourth time did I repeat my question, but received no answer from my mysterious visitor except a slight raising of her eyes. By this time I felt strange sensations spreading through me. I would have risen but the riveted gaze of the being before me rendered volition impossible. I assayed once more to address her, but my tongue had become useless, as though it had become paralyzed.

A new influence, mysterious, potent, irresistible, took possession of me. All I could do was to gaze steadily, vacantly at my unknown visitor. Gradually the surrounding atmosphere seemed as if it had become filled with sensations, and luminous. Everything about me seemed to rarefy, the mysterious visitor herself becoming more airy and yet more distinct to my sight than before. I now began to feel as one dying, or rather to experience the sensations which I have sometimes imagined accompany dissolution. I did not think, I did not reason, I did not move; all were alike impossible. I was only conscious of gazing fixedly, vacantly at my companion.

Presently I heard a voice saying, "Son of the Republic, look and learn," while at the same time my visitor extended her arm eastwardly, I now beheld a heavy white vapor at some distance rising fold upon fold. This gradually dissipated, and I looked upon a stranger scene. Before me lay spread out in one vast plain all the countries of the world -- Europe, Asia, Africa and America. I saw rolling and tossing between Europe and America the billows of the Atlantic, and between Asia and America lay the Pacific.

Son of the Republic," said the same mysterious voice as before, "look and learn." At that moment I beheld a dark, shadowy being, like an angel, standing or rather floating in mid-air, between Europe and America. Dipping water out of the ocean in the hollow of each hand, he sprinkled some upon America with his right hand, while with his left hand he cast some on Europe. Immediately a cloud raised from these countries, and joined in mid-ocean. For a while it remained stationary, and then moved slowly westward, until it enveloped America in its murky folds. Sharp flashes of lightning gleamed through it at intervals, and I heard the smothered groans and cries of the American people (This part of the vision is probably describing the war of Independence).

A second time the angel dipped water from the ocean, and sprinkled it out as before. The dark cloud was then drawn back to the ocean, in whose heaving billows in sank from view. A third time I heard the mysterious voice saying, "Son of the Republic, look and learn," I cast my eyes upon America and beheld villages and towns and cities springing up one after another until the whole land from the Atlantic to the Pacific was dotted with them.

Again, I heard the mysterious voice say, "Son of the Republic, the end of the century cometh, look and learn." At this the dark shadowy angel turned his face southward, and from Africa I saw an ill omened specter approach our land. It flitted slowly over every town and city of the latter. The inhabitants presently set themselves in battle array against each other. As I continued looking I saw a bright angel, on whose brow rested a crown of light, on which was traced the word "Union," bearing the American flag which he placed between the divided nation, and said, "Remember ye are brethren." Instantly, the inhabitants, casting from them their weapons became friends once more, and united around the National Standard (This part of the vision is most likely describing the Civil War).

And again I heard the mysterious voice saying "Son of the Republic, look and learn." At this the dark, shadowy angel placed a trumpet to his mouth, and blew three distinct blasts; and taking water from the ocean, he sprinkled it upon Europe, Asia and Africa. Then my eyes beheld a fearful scene: >From each of these countries arose thick, black clouds that were soon joined into one. Throughout this mass there gleamed a dark red light by which I saw hordes of armed men, who, moving with the cloud, marched by land and sailed by sea to America. Our country was enveloped in this volume of cloud, and I saw these vast armies devastate the whole county and burn the villages, towns and cities that I beheld springing up. As my ears listened to the thundering of the cannon, clashing of sword, and the shouts and cries of millions in mortal combat, I heard again the mysterious voice saying, "Son of the Republic, look and learn." When the voice had ceased, the dark shadowy angel placed his trumpet once more to his mouth, and blew a long and fearful blast.

Instantly a light as of a thousand suns shone down from above me, and pierced and broke into fragments the dark cloud which enveloped America. At the same moment the angel upon whose head still shone the word Union, and who bore our national flag in one hand and a sword in the other, descended from the heavens attended by legions of white spirits. These immediately joined the inhabitants of America, who I perceived were well nigh overcome, but who immediately taking courage again, closed up their broken ranks and renewed the battle.

Again, amid the fearful noise of the conflict, I heard the mysterious voice saying, "Son of the Republic, look and learn." As the voice ceased, the shadowy angel for the last time dipped water from the ocean and sprinkled it upon America. Instantly the dark cloud rolled back, together with the armies it had brought, leaving the inhabitants of the land victorious!

Then once more I beheld the villages, towns and cities springing up where I had seen them before, while the bright angel, planting the azure standard he had brought in the midst of them, cried with a loud voice: "While the stars remain, and the heavens send down dew upon the earth, so long shall the Union last." And taking from his brow the crown on which blazoned the word "Union," he placed it upon the Standard while the people, kneeling down, said, "Amen."

The scene instantly began to fade and dissolve, and I at last saw nothing but the rising, curling vapor I at first beheld. This also disappearing, I found myself once more gazing upon the mysterious visitor, who, in the same voice I had heard before, said, "Son of the Republic, what you have seen is thus interpreted: Three great perils will come upon the Republic. The most fearful is the third, but in this greatest conflict the whole world united shall not prevail against her. Let every child of the Republic learn to live for his God, his land and the Union." With these words the vision vanished, and I started from my seat and felt that I had seen a vision wherein had been shown to me the birth, progress, and destiny of the United States.

COMMENTARY

George Washington's vision has been published from time to time, twice in this Newsletter, and is recorded in the Library of Congress. As mentioned earlier, due to the spiritual nature of the vision, secular authorities have chosen to reject it, even as they explain away Biblical miracles and other manifestations of God that promote hope and faith. You have asked my opinion and I feel it my duty to again present Washington’s vision so you may decide its validity for yourself.

Critics point out that messengers from God recorded in the Holy Bible were always in male-form – never female. Archangel Micha-el is portrayed even more powerful that the fallen Lucifer (Satan) as he opens the way for Gabri-el to visit Daniel. The words: "look and learn" mirror those reportedly given by Gabriel to Muhammad as he was pressed to the messenger’s breast in the Cave of Hira and three times commanded "Iqra (Proclaim)!" Hundreds of millions of Catholics accept various visits from the Virgin Mary. I personally do not limit God in any degree. I prefer to consider the information rather than scrutinize the messenger. I suggest you weigh Washington’s words with respect to our current situation, and not the gender of the intermediary. The first Bible mention of an angelic messenger is to Hagar, Sarai’s maid. She is commanded to call Abram’s first son "Ishmael;" Moses was presented with a burning bush from which God’s voice came, and he divinely came by the details of Genesis; John the Baptist saw a dove; Paul heard Jesus Christ; Daniel – Gabriel; Jacob a martial messenger; Ezekiel and Isaiah had visions, Zacharias was visited by Gabriel announcing the birth of his son John; Joseph and Mary knew an angel of the Lord; the Apostles were freed from prison by an angel; John the Revelator – saw through a heavenly messenger, also Ananias, and other important personages. With all these accepted accounts, why would we so readily reject a vison shared by the father of our nation?

It is my opinion, supported by one who has received inspiration, that we are now moving rapidly into the third and greatest peril of Washington's revelation. The signs are readily evident to all who are not blinded by apathy or delusion that Communism is dead. America has few friends left in the world and even fewer still who will have the strength or will to stand beside her in future struggles. Lenin foretold the series of events: "First we will take Russia, next we will capture the nations of eastern Europe, then we will take the masses of Asia. Finally, we will surround the United States and that last bastion of freedom will fall into our hands like over-ripe fruit."

Washington saw America attacked and invaded by vast military forces from Europe, Asia and Africa. He saw that with those forces there "gleamed a dark, red light" – the color and symbol of Satanic Communism. He saw our cities aflame (as a result of nuclear attack, burned by mobs fomenting anarchy and revolution); the nation devastated, and millions dying in mortal combat. Then, at the point of fiercest and final battle, the great angel, the guardian of this nation, descends from the heavens with legions of white spirits who join forces with Americans loyal to God and destroy the invaders.

There are several important points which should be recognized by every American who ponders Washington’s vision. It is time for all Americans to heed the warning that Patriots have been carrying across this land for decades. The people of this nation are entering a period of great trial and tribulation. There will be an economic collapse (consider Wall Street’s March 2001 all-time record loss), a disintegration of domestic order followed by invasion, and armed conflict

America is the promised land. The Christian people of North America are a chosen people. We will prevail because it is our destiny and God’s prophetic Will. But we have permitted corruption, perversion, immorality, greed, personal pleasure, and materialism to pollute the land and our lives. We have permitted anti-Christians to gain control of our country. We have allowed traitors to hold the highest positions of authority with in our nation. We have reached such a point of degradation that we are killing tens of millions of our own unborn children – bringing about our own genocide. Because of immorality, loss of faith, and the abandonment of our God-centered heritage, God’s land and His people will receive a chastisement of immeasurable ferocity. The authenticity of Washington's revelation is clearly supported by a number of other prophecies over the past several hundred years, all pointing to a great "end times" battle in which the forces of the entire world are directed against God’s people.
Like the nine ungrateful lepers healed by God, we Americans have accepted and enjoyed our many blessings and great bounty without gratitude; moreover we have failed to understand and fulfill our special role as God’s nation on earth. However, even at this late hour, righteous and responsible Americans can still rise up, wipe out the immorality and perversion from their lives and churches, set decent standards of integrity and honor, and reverse the present course of our nation. If we do these things, we can still avoid much of the world-wide tragedy and suffering ahead, for there are many references in the Scripture that the punishment of the Lord may be withheld – if we believe, repent, work and fight if necessary; while we call upon Him for assistance. But if we, as individuals, do not urgently and with every means at our disposal, set ourselves to the task; then only the strong, righteous, and courageous who prepare now -- mentally, morally and physically – will survive spiritually.

I don’t expect many to heed this warning, yet those who do hear and prepare shall survive "the word." George Washington, the greatest man ever to walk this continent, should serve as our example in these troubled times. George Washington's selfless devotion to his country, his total dedication to the cause of liberty and high personal standards should be the model for every righteous person in America today.

General Washington was a man of principle, wisdom, determination, and great courage. He was a God fearing man who prayed for direction, strength and support from the Almighty, and he accepted the purpose and destiny for which he was created. Washington also had the courage to take up arms and physically fight for his God and his country. He did not expect other men or the Creator to do it for him, nor did he foolishly think that some how God would pluck him from the scene so that he might avoid the hardships, suffering, and perhaps even death which were imminent.

Today’s good people can not expect to escape tribulation, but like Washington, who was prepared, will be given the strength and protection to see it through and enjoy ultimate victory so that, as the Angel proclaimed, "While the stars remain, and the heavens send down dew upon the earth, so long shall America last."

Sons and Daughters of the Republic, you are living in the most crucial and momentous period in the history of mankind – the end of the age! It will be a time of great trial and opportunity. The events foretold are not only foretold in George Washington's vision. The question is whether or not you, as an individual, parent, or authority figure, have the judgment, courage, and sense of destiny to prepare to stand! Or will the lamination be, Oh for an hour of Wallace wight, or well-trained Bruce to lead the fight, and cry St Andrew and our Right!

ARMITAGE IS BACK

I’ve kept you informed concerning Richard Armitage, the man who General Khun Sa, Golden Triangle heroin overlord, named as the bagman of a bureaucratic drug operation. During Reagan’s watch, Armitage was appointed Assistant Secretary of Defense responsible for bringing home our Prisoners of War and Missing in Action. Instead, it is my experience and belief that he did everything in his power to keep Americans in the hands of our enemies. When Colonel Jerry King, head of the NSC’s Intelligence Support Activity, told me that Operation Grand Eagle had been put back on the shelf as if it had never existed – there are too many people in Washington who don’t want to see U.S. POWs come home alive, King was talking about big Dick Armitage. When I was given emitters and told to mark POW locations with them, it was so they could be removed or destroyed before they were rescued. When I brought back Lance Peter Sijan’s Air Force Academy ring from within Communist Laos, it was Armitage who told the Sijan family that it was a fake – until I placed the ring in their hands. When I arranged for the buy-out of four U.S. POWs, it was Armitage who interfered. Upon return from Burma in 1988, I took the Khun Sa evidence against Armitage before the House of Representatives Task Force on Narcotics Control under Miami Vice Dade County’s Larry Smith (D. FL). Smith, more interested in protecting drug smugglers than arresting them, dismissed the information. Four-billion dollars buys more attention and H. Ross Perot got just that, but not much else. He went to the White House and got nothing but Bush-lip. He then went to the Pentagon and demanded Armitage resign. Time magazine ran a story on "Perot’s Private Probe." Still Armitage hung on – above all else, the bagman must be protected.

Under George Bush, Sr., Richard Armitage was promoted to Assistant Secretary of State over Asia and all its illegal narcotics. Fortunately, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman, Claiborne Pell (D. RI) agreed to investigate Armitage. Like a bolt of lightening, Bush moved Armitage, reappointing him Secretary of the Army. Our next stop was with Sam Nunn (D. GA), Chairman of the Armed Services Committee. When Nunn agreed to look under Richard’s rock, Armitage suddenly resigned from government service. The New York Times reported that he needed to "spend more time with his family." Bush immediately made Armitage a special envoy to negotiate away our bases in the Philippines; then he was sent as a personal representative to Jordan’s King Hussein during the Gulf War; finally Bush had Armitage go to secure what he could from the Russians – all positions not requiring Senate confirmation.

Clinton fired Armitage and he went to work at the Naval Academy teaching ethics! As Colin Powell became available for politics, Time Magazine reported his closest friend and advisor was none other than Richard Armitage. As G "dubya" Bush began to mount a campaign against Al Gore, Armitage was there in his old role as a foreign policy advisor. Bush planned to appoint Donald Rumsfeld as Director of Central Intelligence and Armitage as number-two in the Department of Defense. As it turned out, Rumsfeld ended up Secretary of Defense for the 2nd time and both he and his deputy, Paul Wolfowitz, rejected Armitage. Colin Powell’s #2, Edward Djerejian (former ambassador to Israel) was already promised the position, so Armitage has been appointed into the same position by junior-Bush that he couldn’t stand muster for under daddy-Bush.

I voted against the sodomites, abortionists, and anti-Christs – casting my ballot for Bush-Chaney. I liked Rumsfeld and Ashcroft. It seemed like an opportunity to restore the Constitution, and our nation under God. I liked the prospects must better than the alternative (Gore and Lieberman). With the reappointment of Armitage, it now appears to be just more of the same – under a different name. I believe we can help Bush by urging the Senate to investigate Armitage. If he was too dirty to serve 12 years ago, why is he acceptable now? I need your help to keep Armitage from damning this Administration before it gets a fair chance to do the right thing. To help you decide, I am including a fairly complete background sketch on Richard Armitage and his shadow friends. If you agree that he should be double-checked before being gifted with another high position of special trust and confidence, then insist that your two Senators call for a complete investigation before Armitage is confirmed. John LeBoutillier is a Congressman who is knowledgeable about Armitage and his role in abandoning our POWs. Thursday, March 1, 2001, John released to news sources his info on Armitage which includes syndicated columnist Jack Anderson report in 1986 about Armitage's 'friendship' with a Vietnamese woman involved in organized crime. That report contributed to Armitage twice having to withdraw from consideration for high-ranking positions in the first Bush Administration. Armitage is also infamous among war vets for his disregard and disdain for POW-MIA families.

The Associated Press reported on June 4, 1987, "A drug warlord in Burma accuses Assistant Secretary of Defense Richard L. Armitage and others of drug trafficking to fund anti-communist operations." The AP story then stated, "In a three-hour videotape interview smuggled out of Southeast Asia within the past week, Khun Sa said high-ranking American officials were involved in drug trafficking between 1965 and at least 1979." That three-hour videotape was made by me, given to the White House (Tom Harvey – NSC and Bush personal assistant). I retained a copy that is available today under the title, A NATION BETRAYED, for only $20. That taped interview has been sent to the FBI and to the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee to be available during Armitage's confirmation process.

Mr. Armitage naturally denies any involvement in the drug trade. He called the allegations, according to AP, "ludicrous and baseless." But Khun Sa, according to the AP story, "said Armitage controlled the finances of the alleged American drug operation." On the tape, one of Khun Sa's aides says, "After the Vietnam War, Richard Armitage was a prominent trafficker in Bangkok. Between 1975 and 1979 he was a very popular trafficker. He was one of the embassy employees." Armitage, in his denial, also denied being an "embassy employee." However, he does admit to having worked as a 'consultant' within the American Embassy in Thailand.

Armitage was never investigated. Bush moved him around subverting the system. Now Colin Powell wants his "best friend in the world" in the super-powerful position of Deputy Secretary of State. We have just endured eight years of the Clintons and their horrific conduct, capped off with pardons and commutations for convicted drug figures, including a New York lawyer for the Cali Drug Cartel. The new Bush Administration is well advised to beware of flirting with the Devil and his sons of darkness. What exquisite power does a person like Armitage hold over the President of our nation to cause him to be so quick to taint his administration with such an appointment?

Here is how the Washington Post is promoting Armitage. The Post leaves out Armitage’s drug associations, and lies about his Vietnam service (Navy Seal): "The barrel-chested Richard L. Armitage spoke second at an Asia Society meeting last year, after patiently waiting for fellow Republican Robert B. Zoellick to paint an overview of what foreign policy might be like under a President George W. Bush. ‘Bob is making the philosophical points this morning,’ Armitage said when his turn came. ‘I'm the guy with the mud, the blood and the beer.’ On Monday, President Bush pulled Armitage out of the muck and nominated him to be deputy secretary of state, an appointment that could mean a major cultural change at Foggy Bottom. Armitage -- a former Navy SEAL, Vietnam veteran, weightlifter and best friend of Secretary of State Colin L. Powell -- will bring his plain-spoken manner to a department specializing in nuances and deferential manners.

"Being responsible means occasionally pissing people off," Armitage said in a speech to Army officers and defense experts in Washington in November 1999. "You can't avoid it. Live with it." It would be difficult to think of a sharper stylistic contrast with his immediate predecessor, the cerebral former journalist and Rhodes scholar, Strobe Talbott. Armitage graduated from the Naval Academy in 1967 and served on a destroyer off Vietnam. While Talbott was studying at Oxford, Armitage was doing combat tours in Vietnam, from gunfire support to covert operations. He served with riverine advisory forces in the Mekong Delta similar to the one portrayed in the movie "Apocalypse Now."

Fluent in Vietnamese, Armitage left active duty in 1973 and joined the

U.S. defense attaché's office in Saigon. As Saigon fell, he organized the removal of Vietnamese naval assets and personnel from the country. In May 1975, Armitage became a Pentagon consultant and went to Tehran until November 1976. In 1978, he went to work for Sen. Robert J. Dole (R-Kan.). With the election of Ronald Reagan, Armitage joined the Pentagon and in January 1981 met Powell.

"Big, bald, brassy, built like an anvil, he looked as if he could step into the ring next Saturday at the World Federation of Wrestling," Powell later wrote in his memoirs. Twenty years later, Armitage still seems ready to step into the ring. "I personally have no doubt that early on in the Bush administration, the president will be challenged by Saddam Hussein in one manner or another. And this may offer an opportunity to resolve the questions of WMD [weapons of mass destruction] capability in Iraq," Armitage said in a Council on Foreign Relations session last year. In an interview last year, Armitage said he favored ending Hussein's rule: "In 1990, we were working under U.N. resolutions concerning the eviction of Saddam from Kuwait. In the intervening decade, the behavior of Saddam has not improved and many people have come to the view that perhaps eviction is in order."

Initially after the election, Armitage was expected to get the No. 2 job at Defense. But when Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld gave that post to Paul D. Wolfowitz, Powell lured Armitage to State. The Pentagon was a more natural fit: Armitage served there from 1981 to 1989, as deputy assistant secretary of defense for East Asia and Pacific affairs and then as assistant secretary for international security affairs. While working as a private consultant with his own firm, Armitage Associates, he has also served on the boards of the National Defense Panel, General Dynamics Electric Systems Inc. and CACI International Inc., an information technology provider to government agencies and commercial enterprises. But Armitage has strong views on the State Department. "The Department of State and Department of Defense are monumentally mismanaged," he said in an interview.

During the campaign, he criticized the conduct of foreign policy under President Bill Clinton: "There's a major difference between people who hope to get up every morning and work assiduously on foreign policy and people who approach foreign policy the way 6-year-olds play soccer: all going to the ball. If it's peace talks, everybody does peace talks. If it's Kosovo, they all do Kosovo."

While former vice president Al Gore often spoke of a "new agenda" for national security, linked to issues such as the environment and disease,

Armitage is an old agenda guy. "Our priorities would be first the well-being and security of our nation and our allies and our friends," he said in a public talk last year. "It is the height of insincerity to suggest that AIDS is at the top of our national security list."

Armitage has his own ideas about bipartisanship, too. In an interview with the U.S. Information Agency last year, he said: "The last truly bipartisan vote in the U.S. Congress that I remember on a foreign policy issue was the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin resolution authorizing presidential action in Vietnam, which didn't turn out very well. So I don't think that we should continue to insist on bipartisanship."

Asked what Powell might make his theme as secretary of state, Armitage said, "This is Richard Armitage speaking: To be great internationally, we've got to be great domestically."

Much of the above is fiction. Here are the facts: Richard Lee Armitage was born 26 April 1945 in Boston, Massachusetts, SSN 257-60-5191. His father is Leo Holmes; mother, Ruth H.A.; wife, Laura Alice Samford; religion – Catholic. His wife’s family is influential in politics, banking and insurance in Alabama (CEO Liberty National Life). Samford University is Howard College renamed. There are marital ties between Samford, Rockefeller and Delano families. Family ties also bind the wives of Bush and Samford. Bush, Sr wife is Barbara Pierce, daughter of Marvin Pierce (CEO of McCalls Corp). After graduation from Anapolis in 1967, Richard and Laura were married 15 April 1968. Armitage served in the Navy to the grade of Lieutenant and resigned in 1973. Much of his Navy service and all of his duty assignments in Vietnam were CIA connected. Armitage speaks Vietnamese and lives in Fairfax, VA.

During his assignment in Vietnam, Armitage was closely associated with high-ranking major narco-traffickers in the Vietnamese Navy (extensive information and names on request). 1973-75 Armitage changed clothes and worked as a civilian for the Naval Operations Coordinator, Defense Attache’s Office in Saigon (CIA position). The night of 21 April 1975, Eric von Marbod flew to Saigon under orders from his close friend Defense Secretary James Schlesinger to salvage as much critical equipment as possible. Von Marbod gained permission from General Kraiangsak (Thai Chief of Staff) to store weapons in Thailand. Richard Armitage became von Marbod’s assistant. Von Marbod got out, as Vietnam fell, on an Air America helicopter at 11:30 a.m. on 29 April 1975 and landed on the USS Blue Ridge (command ship of Task Force 76) with two VN admirals.

Von Marbod’s effort rescued an estimated 2,000 Vietnamese VIPs and a total of 224 U.S. aircraft. Armitage raised the U.S. Flag over 35 VN ships and sailed them to Subic Bay, Philippines along with crews and their families. Von Marbod was recalled to Washington from Thailand and the Philippines early in May. In 1975 Armitage was posted in Bangkok, Thailand to the American Embassy as a special consultant to the Pentagon on MIAs. "Armitage spent very little time on MIAs and and a lot of time supervising the repatriation of opium profits to the Nugen-Hand (CIA) Bank in Australia and elsewhere. His unofficial duties included shifting a large cache of arms hidden in Thailand, as well as the relocation of thousands of members of the CIA’s secret army." Nugen (an Australian) was found dead in his Mercedes of a shotgun blast. Hand dropped out of sight (but remains alive).

"The curious goings-on in the office of the special consultant on MIAs began to attract comment in the Bangkok embassy. While some of the embassy personnel began to complain that Armitage was not paying the slightest attention to the MIAs, the Ambassador, Morton Abramowitz, heard of his connection in the narcotics trade. The State Department began an internal investigation...Armitage resigned." Armitage is considered a hero by key members of the growing Asian community in America. He helped save their lives from Communism and sponsored their friends as an official of the U.S. Government. He helped them organize, find employment, and gain status. Richard Armitage remains their best non-Asian friend.

To better understand the mix and match of personalities I will try and unknot this ball of snakes and identify the most venomous. Theodore Shackley, a career CIA officer known as the "Blond Ghost" and his deputy, Thomas Clines, worked with Air Force General Herman Heinie Aderholt who ran the secret air war (including Air America) in Laos. Eric von Marbod had been on the Nixon staff as his covert operations advisor. James Schlesinger was appointed Director of Central Intelligence in 1972, then Secretary of Defense in 1973-75, and Sec of Energy in 1977-79.

Von Marbod was my boss in OSD 1977-79. He and Schlesinger were extremely close. Armitage was von Marbod’s close associate. I worked for Defense Intelligence and NSC’s Intelligence Support Activity to rescue U.S. POWs. My messages were funneled thru the Sec of Energy Communication Center. During the Vietnam War, Army General Jack Singlaub was responsible for SOG ground operations in Laos and Cambodia. Oliver North worked for Singlaub.

Black-hand systems are inherently vulnerable to major breaches of the law. By their nature they operate illegally in denied areas. Because they exist behind a cloak of national security, it is easy to become drawn into activities normally reserved for mafia and drug cartels. Indeed, during WW II, the O.S.S. used the mafia in operations against the Italian Fascist. In Southeast Asia, there is no doubt Air America transported drugs. Throughout Asia, people pay handsomely for employment as an official. It is like a waiter in an exclusive restaurant, the tips are the target. Every level of bureaucrat lives off graft and corruption. Income at the higher levels can be enormous. America was required to pander to such appetites in return for token war fighting. Once engaged, it becomes hard to shake these attachments without a strong moral foundation. Maybe its patriotism, but following Vietnam, the same personalities were deeply involved in Nicaragua, Iran, Afghanistan, and other areas of government-drug controversy.

When von Marbod left Southeast Asia he was posted in Iran where he became best friends with the Shah – and USAF Brigadier General Richard Secord (Chief AF Military Assistance Advisor), and CIA operative Edwin P. Wilson (Advisor to Savak secret police). George Herbert Walker Bush became Director of Central Intelligence with Ted Shackley as his covert operations chief and Thomas Clines as head of CIA training. Armitage was left with his Thai export "business." What unfolded was the formation of a criminal-cover-organization named the Egyptian Air Transport Service Company which extended connections from the Golden Triangle to the Golden Crescent! Each member had taken an oath to the U.S. Constitution – additionally they swore allegiance to their "enterprise" as assuredly as Sicilians who hold a burning paper pledging: As this burns so may I burn if I ever betray my brotherhood. Like the mafia, government covert operations have a legitimate front covering their dark-side.
When my command of Special Forces in Latin America was complete, rather than be assigned within the Southern Command staff (as was customary), I was pulled out of Panama and send directly to the Secretary of Defense. Upon arrival, I questioned why, over the objection of CINC-SOCOM, my overseas long-tour was cut short? USAF General Howard Fish told me: "Bo there is a lot more for a fighter like you to do in the concrete-jungle of D.C. than Asia or Central America. I wasn’t without comrades. My best friend, Joe Felter, was also on the Sec Def staff.

Eric von Marbod was like a surrogate father to me. He was the czar of International Security Assistance and I was his liaison to the U.S. Congress until asked by Defense Intelligence to go in search of U.S. POWs. When, to facilitate positive POW response, I needed a close contact in the State Department, Eric had my classmate, Colonel Jean Savageot, transferred from the bowels of the Pentagon to State as the Politico-Military Advisor. Von Marbod arranged my undercover job with the Hughes Aircraft Company with its multi-billion dollar pay-off – yet there was another dimension. More than a few times Eric mentioned his desire that I get to know a Major Andy Gamberra. Gamberra was not on the OSD staff – he worked von Marbod’s "night" shift. While we were close, Eric was concerned with my Christian-conscience. We could never be certain that I wouldn’t choose "right" over the interests of the enterprise. My friend Joe retired from the Army to take over as the CEO of Wedtech, a New York City company owned by D.C. VIPs. Wedtech received exclusive defense contracts approved by Congress – thanks to military officers like Tom Harvey and Oliver North in close contact with the White House and Congress. Harvey had been one of Joe’s officers.

When Eric von Marbod was made America’s chief arms merchant, he brought Richard Secord with him to handle matters on the Air Staff. Armitage became Asst Secretary of Defense for International Affairs. Colonel Ollie North went to the White House NSC staff along with Major Tom Harvey. North advised Reagan, while Harvey was close to George Bush. Before Bush, Harvey had been a military advisor to Senator John Warner. The clique stays together – mutually working their way up the ladder of power. Like rats, purveyors of gross criminal activity under a good housekeeping seal of approval, fear most the light of exposure. In the interest of damage control, once in the spotlight, the enterprise eats its own. In 1983, von Marbod and Secord had to fold their EATSCO-tent and resign from government, while partner Wilson went to prison for 52-years for selling munitions, terrorist training, and "more" to Libya’s Muammar al-Qaddafi. As with mushrooms, when plucked, if not consumed, they resurface in a different locale – for example survivor von Marbod was absorbed in Switzerland with Sears World under former Secretary of Defense Frank Carlucci.

In the time period 1977-78, Armitage was in Bangkok in business with Heinie Aderholt. The business, according to Ambassador Abramowitz, involved import and export of bamboo furniture and pharmaceuticals. Armitage was also associated with Sea-Thai, Limited, a CIA front company and Far East Trading. I find it more than interesting that while Asst Sec of Def, Armitage instructed his personal secretary to expunge his official records of his assignment to the embassy in Thailand. I know this to be true because his secretary was Audrey Batchelor, my friend and neighbor. Audrey’s husband, Bill, was the communications chief at the Energy Dept and DOJ-DEA.

When Armitage failed to stay under the leaves in Thailand, Eric summoned him to Iran. In 1978, Von Marbod passed Armitage on to Senator Robert Dole’s staff as an administrative assistant, but Armitage was released in 1979 because of his excessive attention and ties to his Asian "business" interests. Armitage tried his hand as a "beltway bandit" (D.C. consultant) for a year, then (again thanks to von Marbod) attached himself as a foreign policy advisor to the Reagan For President Campaign. Riding the Reagan train, Armitage garnered a mid-level appointment in the Dept. of Defense. Two years later he was elevated to Asst. Sec. of Defense for International Security Affairs from 1983-88. January 1986 finds Armitage part of a White House "sub-group" to counter terrorism. Ollie North, Armitage, Paul Bremer-State, CIA, JCS, and Oliver "Buck" Revell all served. It was this group who recommended the April 14th bombing of Qaddafi’s home. Considering his ties to von Marbod, Secord, and Ed Wilson (he, along with contract special forces, trained the terrorists), it was a clear conflict of
