The information arm of Bo Gritz' Center for Action is the national Newsletter. For more than ten years it was published monthly, but more recently, with the aid of good friend Richard Flowers, it has come out bi-monthly. Below you will find excerpts from past issues, to give you the reader some flavor of it's content.

21st CENTURY LESSONS

As an amateur historian of this century, whose time has been extended, I want to reflect upon several lessons Americans should have learned, to live free and prosper, as we enter the 21st Century.

Lesson No. 1: Bureau-o-rats cannot send soldiers to doors that aren’t on their list. If a bureau-o-rat tells you that he must know if you have a firearm so he can put your name on a list for the common good, or wants to issue you an identity card so that you may be more easily identified - tell him to go to hell! Registration of people and firearms is the required precursor to the tyranny which permits genocide.

Lesson No. 2: If a bureau-o-rat, or a soldier sent by a bureau-o-rat, comes to knock down your door and confiscate your firearms - fight! The disarmament of law-abiding citizens is the required precursor to genocide, e.g., Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot.

Lesson No. 3: If a bureau-o-rat, or a soldier sent by a bureau-o-rat, comes to knock down your door and take you someplace you don’t want to go because of who you are or what you think - Fight! If possible, eliminate the politician who sent them. You will likely become a casualty anyway, and you may save someone else the same fate. It is a universal truth that the intended victims always far outnumber the tyrant’s executioners. Any nation, which practices this lesson, will quickly run out of executioners and tyrants, or they will run out of liberty.

Lesson No. 4: Believe actions, not words. Tyrants are consummate liars. Just because a tyrant is "democratically" elected doesn’t mean that he believes in following the law, i.e., Adolf Hitler, 1932. And just because a would-be tyrant mouths words of reverence to law and justice, or takes a solemn oath to uphold a constitution, doesn’t mean he believes such concepts apply to him. Look at Bill Clinton, among others. The language of the lie is just another tool of murderers. A sign saying "Arbeit Macht Frei" (Work Makes You Free), posted above an concentration camp gate, doesn’t mean that anybody intentionally gets out alive, and a room labeled "Showers" doesn’t necessarily make you clean. While all tyrants are liars, not all political liars are would-be tyrants.

Lesson No. 5: Our Constitutional Republic, as crafted by America’s founders, is the worst form of government in the world, except when compared to all the others. Free Enterprise, as well, is a terrible way to run an economy, except when compared to all other economic systems. Unrestrained democracy is best expressed as two wolves and a sheep sitting down to vote on what to have for dinner. The horrors of collectivism in all its forms - socialism, communism, national socialism, fascism - have been demonstrated beyond dispute by considerable wasteful trial and bloody error. Just ask the 200-million dead that "government" collectivism brutally slaughtered in this century. Leaders, such as Bill Clinton, who view the Constitution as inconvenient and ignoble are harbingers of tyranny.

Lesson No. 6: While nations do not always get the leaders they deserve, they always get the leaders they tolerate. And anyone who tells you that "It Can’t Happen Here" is whistling past the graveyard of history. There is no "house rule" that bars tyranny from America. History is replete while republics whose people grew complacent and descended into imperial butchery and chaos. Dictators count on the assistance of people who are complacent, fearful, envious, lazy, immoral and corrupt. While there is no "Collective guilt" to the crimes of a regime (all such crimes being committed by specific criminal individuals), there is certainly "collective responsibility" - especially for those who watch the criminals at work without objecting or interfering.

A French journalist of the last century wrote: "I must speak out, for I will not be an accomplice." Evil tyrants require, indeed they depend upon, willing and unwilling accomplices - good people who would never think of harming a soul themselves. Lenin called such people "useful idiots". De Tocqueville observed that "America is great because America is good. When America ceases to be good, she will cease to be great." As related in the Old Testament, God judges nations based upon the immorality and criminality of their leaders. Entire peoples were scourged because of their failure to remove corrupt leaders. As we move into the Twenty-first Century, we should take care to remember the ancient story of Sodom and Gomorrah. If we wish to avoid the butchery of the Twentieth Century and the righteous judgment of God, we would do well to keep our Bibles, our Constitution and our firearms close at hand.

Remember: Only dead fish swim with the stream!

HUGS

Its wondrous what a hug can do;

A hug can cheer you when you’re blue.

A hug can say, "I love you so,"

Or, "Gee I hate to see you go."

A hug is "Welcome back again!" and

"Great to see you! Where’ve you been?"

A hug can soothe a small child’s pain;

And sweep clouds away after rain.

The hug! There’s just no doubt about it;

We scarcely could survive without it!

A hug delights, warms, and charms;

It must be why God gave us arms.

Hugs are great for Fathers and Mothers,

Sweet for sisters, swell for brothers. and

Chances are some favorite Aunts,

Love them more than potted plants.

Kittens crave them; puppies love ‘em;

Heads of State are not above them.

A hug can break the language barrier; and

Make the dullest day seem merrier.

No need to fret about the store of them;

The more you give, the more there are of ‘em.

So stretch those arms without delay;

And give someone a BIG HUG TODAY!

BEAST MARK

I have informed you about several developments in technology as we get closer to a time where all persons must have a Mark of the Beast in order to buy or sell. I have burned hundreds of UN flags as a visual "crispy-critter" stimulus to any who would contemplate taking a mark. The Apostle John’s Revelation is clear. Taking a mark is getting a divorce from Jesus Christ. Moreover, "smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever" (Rev 14:11).

A Palm Beach, Florida-based telecommunications company has developed a miniature digital monitoring device that can be implanted in people, intended to assist in locating missing children or for monitoring the heart rate of at-risk patients. Freedom activists are concerned about exploitation of the technology, which would use global positioning system (GPS) technology to track implantees.

Applied Digital Solutions announced last week it had acquired patent rights to develop the unique transceiver, which would be powered by muscle movements of implantees. The company plans to complete a working prototype by the end of 2000. Planted inconspicuously just under the skin, the implantable transceiver sends and receives data and can be continuously tracked by GPS technology. The company expects applications in the fields of law enforcement, security and medicine. According to ADS, a company with an Internet and e-commerce focus, the devise could track lost hikers, abducted children and "military, diplomatic and other essential government personnel." It can also identify individuals for e-business security and check certain biological functions and alert a monitoring facility if it detects a medical emergency. "We believe its potential for improving individual and e-business security and enchancing the quality of life for millions of people is virtually limitless," said ADS Chairman and CEO Richard Sullivan in a statement.

Fearing that "virtually limitless" potential, critics contend that monitoring systems will wind up being used for other than the original purposes and that this new surveillance technology could eventually restrict freedoms of the general public. Patent documents refer to the device as a "personal tracking and recovery system." But ADS said the device, named the Digital Angel, could also have non-human applications. For example, it could be secretly hidden on or in valuable personal belongings and works of art. ADS said the technology could "tap into a vast global market" that is expected to eventually exceed $100 billion.

AMAZING SAM ARMAS

I have previously introduced you to Sam Armas. He reached out of a surgical slit and grasp the hand of a his surgeon, Dr Joseph Bruner, at 23-weeks in the womb! Rather than be aborted, Sam, his Mom, Julie and Dad, Alex, went to Vanderbilt University Hospital where a crippling birth defect known as spina bifida was corrected.

Sam was due to be born on 29 December, but having already become accustomed to the outside world, decided to come early and made his second appearance at 36-weeks at 6:25-p.m. on 2 December. Samuel weighed 5-pounds, 11-ounces and stretched out 20 1/2-inches. The physicians and specialists say Sam looks good and moving all the right parts. He is nursing well. The Armas Family send their love and thanks for your prayers. "We are happier than we ever dreamed possible!"

Julie and Alex are two very special people who are headed for heaven. They refused to abort Sam even though it is the routine procedure for babies with such a debilitating spinal ailment. The couple found Dr. Bruner through the Internet. Their conviction was always: "He’s a child there is no choice!" May God continue to bless the Armas’.
