THINGS GOD CAN’T DO

I pray God will grant us a miracle this month. I pray that each and every American might be home with family and loved ones for Thanksgiving. With slightly more than a month before Y-2-K, we will have more need to consider all the good things that God has done - and will yet do in our lives. The Conn-court has kept me from being with you as I would like. In event of the worse and somehow, for whatever reason, I am not free to help as I can, I offer the following thoughts of encouragement.

Remember who you are, a precious cherished child of Almighty God! As our Father, God is always present to handle insurmountable problems. He doesn’t require any help. If Satan harrows up a situation that is more than you can handle, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE IT! Kindly contact Him by prayer and place your dilemma into the SAFE (Significant Action For Elohim) box. The problem will be handled in God’s good time, not ours. Once the matter is surrendered do not attempt to hold onto it or remove it! Holding on will simply delay resolution to your problem. Upon further introspection, if you feel that you might have an answer, and want to get involved, please submit your solution to God in prayer to be certain. Remember, God does not sleep, but you do. There is no need for you to lose any sleep once God is working the problem. Remember too, if you need to contact our Heavenly Father, He is only a prayer away.

As a combat commander and person who, like Brer Rabbit, has spent much of my existence in the Briar Patch, I am especially thankful for some of the things GOD CAN’T DO! You may dispute my claim, but examine the following entries and see if I am wrong. There are, Thank God, some things our Father in Heaven can’t or won’t do concerning His children.

God can’t make junk (Gen 1:31)...God won’t fail (Deut 31:6)...God can’t be unfaithful (Gen 28:15 & Lam 3:23)...God won’t stop loving you (Jer 31:3)...God can’t ask you to do something He won’t do for you (Phil 2:13)...God can’t let His people’s prayers go unanswered (John 14:13)...God can’t break a promise (Psm 89:34)...God can’t lie (Heb 6:18)...God’s righteousness won’t end (Psm 119:142)...God can’t be the author of confusion (1Cor 14:33)...God’s plan for your life can’t be bad (Jer 29:11)...God won’t stop thinking about you (Psm 139:17-18 & Isa 49:15)...God can’t be unforgiving to those who ask forgiveness (1John 1:9)...God can’t make a mistake (Psm 119:75)...God won’t allow anything to separate you from His love (Rom: 38-39)...God can’t remember sins He’s forgotten (Isa 43:25)...God won’t leave you comfortless (John 14:18)...God won’t give us a spirit of fear (2Tim 1:7)...God can’t make a loser (2Cor 2:14)...God can’t be given any job or problem He can’t handle (Jer 32:17 & Matt 19:26).

The above are not "weaknesses.". God gives us these assurances of things He can’t or won’t do, so that we can do all things through Jesus Christ in righteousness who gives us the power. Don’t ever think you are alone! Right now somebody is thinking of you! Someone is caring about you! Someone misses you! Someone dreams of you! Somebody wants to talk to you! Somebody wants to be with you! Someone wants to feel your touch! Someone’s heart longs for you! Someone is hoping everything will be OK for you! Someone wants you to be happy and safe! Someone loves you for who you are! Someone remembers a song that reminds them of you! Someone wants you to know they pray for you! You are someone’s hero! Count Your Many Blessing, Name Them One By One, And You Will See All That God Has Done!
